In April 2022, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) launched the EAB Navigate Academic Planner, a new advising and registration tool, at Plymouth State University (PSU) to simplify and streamline the registration process for PSU students.
Academic Planner enables students to proactively plan, schedule, and register for their classes and allows students to work with their Success Coach/Advisor to plan their path and achieve on-time graduation by:
- Displaying classes, term-by-term, over four years to allow for students to know which classes they will take each semester
- Tracking which courses students have enrolled in and completed
- Allowing student advisors to confirm students are making the right course choices
Academic Planner provides USNH with student-driven academic planning tools to facilitate their success in their degree programs. This allows more ownership over degree planning for students, hopefully improving retention.
Before the launch of Academic Planner, ET&S worked with a small group of current PSU students, the PSU Trio office, and PSU Success Coaches to complete a successful pilot of planning and registering for Fall 2022 courses. PSU students who participated in the pilot with the support of TRIO Advisors and Success Coaches reported that it was easy to learn and use.
