SEED: Electronics Disposal

The Secure Electronic Equipment Disposal (SEED) program provides for the disposal of USNH technology equipment including computers, mobile devices, portable drives, and hard drives. Our equipment recycling vendor is certified in endpoint data protection and wiping to meet the requirements of USNH policy; equipment need not be wiped prior to disposal.

Equipment containing circuit boards such as monitors, printers, peripherals, scientific equipment, and audio-visual equipment may also be disposed of through SEED. Please check the Accepted Equipment List for types of equipment that does not qualify SEED.

The SEED program is intended for USNH-owned equipment and does not accept personal electronic equipment from students or community members. USNH emeriti may turn in personal equipment for SEED, but computers need to be clearly marked as personal equipment and not owned by USNH

If you still have questions about whether your item(s) qualify for the SEED program, please put in a ticket and a team member will reach out to you.
