Here is a summary of today’s Enterprise Technology & Services Tech Briefing, which is our last of 2024 and is focused exclusively on the switch to Workday.
Workday will go live on Saturday, December 21. Make sure you are prepared by checking our list of to-dos prior to go-live.
The Workday Manager Fundamentals Canvas course is now live.
Reminder: Student Financial Services and ET&S will perform a mandatory data conversion in Colleague on Sunday, December 22, at 7 a.m. through Monday, December 23 at 12 p.m. During this time, Colleague will not be available.

To Know: Workday will be our new HR, Finance and Payroll system and will launch on Saturday, December 21.
To Do: What you need to do prior to Workday Go-Live:
All staff and Faculty should complete the short Workday Fundamentals Canvas course (less than 15 minutes). You will need to complete the knowledge check or quiz at the end of the course.
If you are faculty or HR / Finance staff and will be in Workday on a regular basis, please see training session replays to ensure you are prepared for launch.

To get access to the Workday Training Practice Sandbox: Once you complete the quiz, you will receive access to the Sandbox link provided in the last module of the course.
Workday Manager Fundamentals Course in Canvas is now available To Know: The Manager Fundamentals in Workday Canvas course is now available on your Canvas dashboard and is designed for managers and supervisors (anyone with direct reports). It takes a deeper dive into Workday and explores the functionality that will support your role as a manager or supervisor.

Course Description: Workday has multiple tools that you'll be using to manage and lead your team, from onboarding to tracking time to performance reviews and more. This course will introduce you to various apps, dashboards, hubs and reports that you'll be using on a regular basis. The Workday Training Practice Sandbox link will also be accessible in the last module of this course.
To Do:
Course Prerequisite: Workday Fundamentals Canvas course (for employees). It is highly recommended that you complete this course. Consider this Level 1 learning for the Level 2 Manager Fundamentals course.
If you cannot open your Canvas dashboard, please submit aTechnology Ticket.
If you can access your dashboard, but the course does not display, pleasesubmit a ticket in TeamDynamixrequesting that the course be added your dashboard.
