Spirion (formerly Identity Finder) is a software application that helps prevent data leakage. Spirion scans your computer automatically to find and notifies you of any personally identifiable information (PII) that may be stored on its hard drive that should be removed or moved to a secure location.
You either already have Spirion installed, or it may be new to you, but because you handle PII, it is required that it be installed on your computer.
Starting Thursday, June 16, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) will begin remotely upgrading all instances of Spirion to ensure all users are on the same version for ease of use and to introduce advanced features. This upgrade is automatic and requires no user action. It may take several days for ET&S to complete this work, but once finished, it will provide the best protection possible while also making it much easier to manage.
