Adjuncts are those staff and faculty who are hired on a temporary basis and/or at 75% time or less (USY V.C. 6.2.4.2). For the purposes of the information shared below, adjuncts do not include student workers.
Adjuncts are covered by select USNH benefits including Unemployment, Workers Compensation, USNH Retirement Plan and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). (USY V.A. 3 and USY F.A. 5)
If eligible, adjuncts will also have the option to elect medical coverage in Workday. Eligibility may be determined at time of hire based on standard hours work and ongoing assignments. Alternately, eligibility is determined by following Affordable Care Act guidelines, reviewing average annual hours, and notification during Open Enrollment. (USY V.A. 5.2)
