USNH Code of Conduct

All employees are expected to uphold values of respect, accountability, collaboration, and integrity. Our values are the constant and unchanging guide to all our decisions and actions, and each employee is expected to uphold them.

1)    Excellence and Dedication in Our Work.
We are all entrusted by the people of New Hampshire to provide educational opportunities that improve the quality of life in our communities, and all employees must commit their full effort, with persistence and resilience, to accomplish this shared goal.  We are dependable and motivated in our work and committed to excellence in everything we do.

2)    Respect for Others.
We recognize the dignity of all members of our community, and employees must treat each other and those we serve with courtesy and respect. Employees are expected to foster, cultivate, and preserve our culture by embracing the differences in age, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, race, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status, and other characteristics that make up our community.

3)    Collaboration.
All employees are expected to work collegially and actively support each other in accomplishing our mission. In an academic community that values diversity of opinion and the opportunity to learn from one another across difference, we effectively collaborate through our commitment to open communications and civility.

4)    Honesty and Transparency.
All employees must conduct their work in accordance with the highest ethical standards, and demonstrate honesty, integrity, and openness in all dealings.

5)    Efficiency in Use of USNH Resources.
All employees are responsible stewards of our finite resources. Resources include institutional funds, facilities, the time of our employees, and opportunities to advance the institution’s interests. Employees must strive to use these resources to best serve our mission, and to always ensure that personal interests do not interfere with their responsibility to act in the best interests of the institution and those we serve.

6)    Responsibility and Accountability.
All employees take personal responsibility for their actions, decisions, and behavior. We recognize our responsibility to contribute positively to our shared goals, and to make meaningful impacts in the communities we serve. All employees play a part in our success.
