  1. Are users with PPAIDEN update access responsible for maintaining addresses and telephone numbers for their employees?
  2. An employee wants their pay check sent to a special address (CK). Should an EPAF be entered to change their distribution orgn code?

Addresses

1. Are users with PPAIDEN update access responsible for maintaining addresses and telephone numbers for their employees?

No. The Campus HR office is responsible for updating this information after a written request is received from the employee.

 

2. An employee wants their pay check sent to a special address (CK). Should an EPAF be entered to change their distribution orgn code?

No. The Campus HR office will update this information after they have received a written request from the employee.

 

3. There is a period (.) in the State field of the CM address. After removing it, the address record will not save.

The period (.) defaults into the State field when using one of special campus ZIP/PC codes. It must be there. Put it back and try saving again.

 

4 OR 5. In what table can the information on whether or not a person wishes to have his/her home address released?

Check the Telephone form [PPATELE]. If Unlist is checked for the PM telephone type, do not release the information.

 

6. How can an employee be coded so that their home address and telephone number are NOT included in the staff directory?

The “Unlist” indicator on the Telephone form [PPATELE] is used to designate an employee's request to have his/her home address and telephone number excluded from the staff directories. If a check mark is entered in the “Unlist” field, both the home telephone number and address will be excluded from the staff directories. Since only one field exists to designate this request in Banner, whenever Unlist is chosen both the address and phone information will be excluded from the directories. Please note that the “Confidential” indicator on the PPAIDEN from is NOT being used and should never contain a check mark.

 

7. What should be entered for a phone number when one is not provided and the system requires it to save the address record.  

If the system requires a phone number and one is not available enter all 9’s in the field.

 

8. I need to change the mailing address for an hourly employee’s pay stub.

Submit the proper paperwork to the Campus HR Office for processing.
